The Dance School

Setup in 1997, the school is situated at Mapledene Primary School, Sheldon. Whether a beginner or an experienced dancer you will find a warm and welcoming atmosphere upon arrival. At local competitions and festivals the school is often noted for its high standards and imaginative choreography; and boasts 100% pass rate in all International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) examinations.

The Principles

The principals, Lisa Potter and Cheryl Jeyes, have over 25 years of experience covering most dance disciplines. During their performing careers they accumulated over 2,000 medals and trophies between them and have performed in many amateur productions. Lisa has also danced professionally in this country, abroad and on cruise ships.

Classes

Boys and girls are welcome from the age of three. General Classes, held on Saturdays from 9am to 3pm, are focussed on performance and technique with an emphsis on having fun. Private tuition is offered to promising performers, Monday - Wednesday evenings for solo, duet, trio and troupe competion work.
